Condolence: Gerald, Sr. was a lovely and very funny man. I loved how open he was about his faith. He told me once about how he became a Christian. When he was a teen and very active at church, the president of the youth group or something, he was painting a wall to prepare for an event with a bunch of other people, as I remember. The guy next to him talked to him while working and figured out that he was trying to earn his way to heaven by being a good person and invited him to lunch and explained more accurately to him how he could come to know Jesus as his personal Savior and that it was not something you could earn. That was Billy Graham....anyway, Gerald was just a very kind and interesting person. Ellen, G2, George and the rest of the family, we are praying for you as you go through this...but I know that I will see him again. My mom died just a year ago...I know how hard and shocking it is. If you need anything, please ask.
